Yeti - Yew
|
Yeti - a massive and hairy humanlike creature, living in the Himalyas. Allegedly, this creature has stalked the earth for millennia, dating at least from the fourth century B.C. Versions of the yeti exist in other cultures. North Americans call it bigfoot or sasquatch, meaning "hairy man". They are said to range from seven to ten feet in height, and have long arms, a face like an ape's, and a flat nose.Yew (Plant) - a "wand tree", one which is resistant to rot and is traditionally associated with churchyards. The yew is symbolic of death and resurrection. Tom Riddle's wand is made of yew.
